I started my private practice in 2017 after several years working as a counsellor for the NHS and in several small charities. Outside of my work as a counsellor, I teach Counselling Skills and work as a Supervisor on an Integrative-Relational Counselling degree in Kingston-upon-Thames. I am also a qualified intersectional supervisor.

I work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds which has enabled me to gain experience in many areas of psychological distress. These include relationship and social issues, workplace and exam stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, bereavement, chronic illness, low self esteem and body image.

I am proud to support members of the LGBTQIA+ community and believe passionately in offering a queer-friendly and trans inclusive practice. I have also worked with many clients who are exploring their relationship to neurodiversity, particularly later-life diagnoses, and hope to create a space where neurodiversity feels not just welcome, but celebrated.

I offer private 50 minute sessions remotely on weekdays via Zoom. I currently do not offer Face to Face sessions. I only work with adults 18+

Experience

Counselling Degree Tutor and Supervisor

Since 2022 I have been a core Skills tutor and Supervisor on an Integrative-Relational Degree Level course, supporting trainee therapists as they prepare themselves to begin their careers in private practice or agency settings.

CPCAB Counselling Tutor

I taught Counselling Skills and Theory to adult learners at Kingston-Upon-Thames college who wish to expand their skillset either for personal or professional development, or who were interested in taking the first steps in becoming a qualified Counsellor

Founder of Kingston Counselling Collective

For several years I managed a Counselling Collective alongside a small group of colleagues. We worked closely together to support one another through peer supervision, CPD and a shared workspace in Kingston-Upon-Thames. I also worked as a practitioner here seeing self-referred private clients before moving to work exclusively online in March 2020

Survivors UK

I offered counselling to male survivors of rape and sexual assault who self referred through the website, and co-facilitated group sessions. If you’d like to know more about Survivors UK then please visit their website  here.

Kingston Carers Network

I offered counselling to Adult Carers on a voluntary basis and would often encounter themes of isolation, hopelessness and guilt. I would stay alongside the client in their times of despair, and offer both a safe and non judgemental space to help them explore their feelings and move towards an acceptance of their situation.

NHS GP Referred Counsellor

I worked independently at a busy NHS GP’s Surgery with patient referrals that encompassed a wide range of presenting problems, such as low mood, depression and anxiety. I offered a goal-oriented brief therapy model to these patients to provide them with a safe space to offload, with a view to reduce their presenting symptoms.

For many years I also co-ordinated Psychosocial and Mental Heath Support team for a large charity, as well as offering group and 1-1 support to front line workers.
